Helens U13s 5–1 Caythorpe U13s

A difficult afternoon for Caythorpe U13s as they fell to a 5–1 defeat away at St. Helens on a very poor playing surface.

Caythorpe started brightly and took the lead in the first half when Bradley produced a good strike to put the visitors 1–0 ahead. St. Helens responded before the break, finding an equaliser to send the sides into half-time level at 1–1.

Unfortunately, Caythorpe struggled to maintain their first-half performance after the restart. The home side took control of the game and Caythorpe collapsed in the second half, conceding four further goals as St. Helens ran out 5–1 winners.

A disappointing result, particularly after a promising first-half showing and taking the lead, but plenty to learn from going forward.

We’d like to thank all of the parents for their support, and our away kit sponsor Farm Electronics.
