Every football journey starts somewhere, and at Caythorpe & Fulbeck JFC, it begins with our Cubs. Designed for our youngest players, Cubs is all about introducing children to football in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where smiles matter more than scores.

Our sessions focus on the fundamentals of movement, balance, coordination, and ball skills through exciting games and activities that keep children active and engaged. More importantly, they provide an opportunity for young players to build confidence, make new friends, and discover a love for the game that can last a lifetime.

At this age, there is no pressure to win or be the best. Every child develops at their own pace, and our coaches work hard to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to take part, try new things, and celebrate their achievements—no matter how big or small.

The Cubs programme is also a fantastic introduction to being part of a football club. Children begin to understand teamwork, listening, sharing, and showing respect for others, while parents become part of a friendly and supportive club community. It's often the first step towards progressing into our junior teams, but above all, it's about creating happy memories and building confidence through sport.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteer coaches and the support of our parents and families. Their enthusiasm and encouragement help make every session enjoyable and ensure that every child feels valued from the moment they arrive.
