Caythorpe produced an excellent comeback to beat Lincoln Eagles 3–2 in an entertaining charity match on 20 September.

The first half was a difficult one for Caythorpe, who looked disorganised at times and struggled to find their shape. Despite being under pressure, the team managed to stay in the game and showed plenty of determination to keep the score within reach.

James gave Caythorpe something to celebrate with a fantastic strike from distance, producing a moment of real quality to put his side on the scoresheet.

After the break, Caythorpe came out with a completely different mindset. The team looked far more organised, kept their shape and began to take control of the game. Fabio played an important role in settling the players down at half-time, reminding them to maintain their positions, keep their form and control the match rather than rushing their play.

The changes in approach quickly paid off.

James completed his brace in the second half after being set up by Lucas, giving Caythorpe another important goal in their comeback.

Josh then got on the scoresheet himself, with Lucas providing the assist as Caythorpe continued to build momentum and put Lincoln Eagles under increasing pressure.

What looked like a difficult afternoon for Caythorpe in the first half turned into a fantastic comeback. The players showed great character, improved their organisation and worked together to see the game through.

A great team effort, a strong second-half response and a well-earned victory — made even more special by the charity occasion.

Final Score: Caythorpe 3–2 Lincoln Eagles
