A really competitive game for Caythorpe U8s today against Ruskington, with both teams giving it their all from the first whistle.
It was a closely fought contest throughout, with plenty of determination, effort and some nail biting action. Neither team was willing to give an inch. #9 opened the scoring closely followed by #6, #7 pulled Caythorpe infront. However, it was #6 who is in contention for goal of the season with a volley for his second of the game. Ruskington fought back AGAIN until a composed finish from #8 finished the game. The match was ultimately decided in the final quarter, where the game opened up and those crucial moments made the difference
Caythorpes MOM was awarded to Boyd for his defensive awareness and a moment where he comforted the goal keeper after an opposition goal.
Well done to both teams for a great contest, and thank you to everyone who came to support! đź‘Źâš˝
