Under 9s Madrid Match Report – October 11th

U9 Madrid vs Navenby Yellows – Match Report

U9 Madrid found themselves in a tricky position heading into this fixture, with one win and one defeat from their opening two cup games. Knowing that a win against Navenby would secure their place in the next round of fixtures, the full squad arrived at Navenby full of energy and confidence following their first victory last weekend.

The game was an incredibly even contest, with both goalkeepers called into action early on. Caythorpe’s goalkeeper was in fantastic form throughout, making several important saves to keep the team in the game.

At the other end, Caythorpe’s number 9 worked her socks off as always and was rewarded with her **first hat-trick for the team!** Her third goal was an absolute stunner, a superb half-volley that capped off a brilliant performance.

Number 4 battled hard throughout and added another two goals to the tally, while number 14 unleashed a thunderous strike of his own to complete the scoring for Caythorpe.

Credit must also go to Navenby, who played really well and made it a tough contest. They were unfortunate to come up against a Caythorpe goalkeeper in such outstanding form.

A fantastic team performance, with plenty of hard work, determination and quality on show. Well done, Madrid!
