Referees, many of whom are young officials still learning their trade, also deserve respect. Mistakes are part of football—for players, coaches, referees, and supporters alike.

Please encourage all players, applaud good play from both teams, and allow coaches to coach without conflicting instructions from the sidelines. Keeping comments positive helps children focus on enjoying the game rather than worrying about making mistakes.
