U9S ATHLETICO V WELTON

What a performance from the kids in the end!

It was a VERY slow start from us today, but what was brilliant to see was how the kids grew into the game with every single quarter.

Welton were no easy opposition either, having played in Division 2 for the last two seasons, so we knew we’d have to work hard for this one.

Once we found our rhythm, the football really started to flow. Some fantastic team goals, brilliant individual runs and some really good attacking play saw us come away with a deserved win.

But one of the biggest positives today wasn’t just the football — it was the attitude of the kids.

Lots of positives to take from today and another step forward for this group.

Well done boys and girls — brilliant effort from every single one of you!
